Vice President Grabs the Top Scorer Prize in ComQuiz 98

 

Vice President of the Penang Free School Computer Club, Cheang Wai Keong, has won the coverted top scorer prize in Comquiz 1998 prelimenary round of comquiz. This was announced by Mr. Chuah Boon Yew, the teacher advisor today.

Apart from that, the team comprising Cheang Wai Keong, Toh Seng Oon and Lim Kean Yew also qualified for the finals to be held at a later date. When asked about his achivement, Mr. Cheang modestly said that “Wow. I didn’t expect it, but nevertheless I am pleased with this result.”

Comquiz is an annually held event jointly organized by the Star and Intel. It tests students knowledge of computer. Last year, the same team of Cheang Wai Keong, Toh Seng Oon and Lim Kean Yew managed to finish third. This year, we wish them the best of luck, and may they emerge champions this time.
