PFS ComClub wins AT&T 1999

 

Once again, the Computer Club of Penang Free School has done the school and nation proud. They have won the international Virtual Classroom contest organized by AT&T Corp (formerly American Telephone and Telegraph Company) which was participated by students all over the world. Yes, the Penang Free School Computer Club – world champions!

Our winning project, entitled “Young Voices” highlighted the opinions of the young generation regarding the terrible problems faced by the world today. We joined forces with Shingu High School from Japan and Paxon School for Advanced Studies in Florida, USA.

Our website utilized Flash, DHTML and various other technologies. It contains a lot of information on the various ways students can help the world.

Lastly, we would like to thank all help recieved during the duration of this project. Frees… do it at school, state, nation and international level!
