PFS Wins Astronomy Title

The Penang Free School astronomy team represented by Y ip Weng Sang, Noel Chow, Esmond Khoo, Stefan Dawson and Jaryl Loh had participated in the Astronomic Studies Competition cum exhibition organised by the National Planetarium on the 6th of June 2003.

They emerged as champions of the category with their presentation on "Black Holes" winning an astronomy telescope as a grand prize. The telescope was presented as a gift to the school during the morning assembly today. The other schools participating inthe event held at the Geodesic Dome in Komtar were St. Xavier’s Institution, Chung Ling High School, B.M. High School, SM Sri Mutiara and St. George’s Girls’ School.
