PFS teacher makes headline in National Teachers’ Day Celebration

In conjunction with the launching of the Teachers’ day celebration 2004, Mr. Khor Boon Teik is awarded the Second Place in the National Level Innovative Teacher Contest. He wins the title in the individual category at secondary school level .The award was given away by His Excellency the Sultan of Selangor in Sunway Hotel Resort in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday. The award consists of a trophy, a certificate and a cash prize of RM 1500.

His winning entry is “Sponge graph board for the teaching of transformation “. This innovation is in the form of a sponge graph board used as a teaching aid for Transformation topic in Forms 2,3 and 5 and other topics involving straight lines namely Graph Function ( in Forms 3 and 5). The use of this method helps the students in understanding and improving the skills required in mastering the concepts of transformations and straight lines through their active participation in simple and quick manipulation of objects on the sponge graph board.
